Festival Day 10

Today we got to see so many good films! We woke up kind of early to see Shoplifters, a film we heard a lot of good things about. We all walked out of the theater and immediately talked about how much we loved it! It’s one of the Official Competition films so I think it might have a good shot at winning the Palm.

Then we headed to the American Pavilion to get some free coffee and listen to Eric Kohn from Indiewire do a live podcast. It was cool to learn more about the market/business side of the festival, and I liked hearing Eric’s opinions on the films.

We also heard a lot of good things about the film Burning, so we got in line early to see it. I really enjoyed the film even though it was pretty long!

After Burning we were planning to go back to JLP but we decided to catch the showing of Cold War since we hadn’t seen it yet. We also heard a lot of good things about this film too! I really liked it and it’s definitely one of my favorites of the festival!
