Festival Day 6

It was a rainy and cold day in Cannes, but still so much fun! I started the day by working on my Wildlife film review until I had to get ready to go into Cannes.

Once we got to the festival we stopped by the American Pavilion to get some coffee, but we couldn’t stay because it was too crowded. We needed somewhere to finish our reviews though, so we went to the South African Pavilion. It wasn’t crowded and all of the people we met were so nice!

Once we were finished with the reviews we headed to our first film of the day, Girl. We all thought it was so amazing and important; hopefully others on the program will be able to see it too!

Later we went to an Indian restaurant for dinner, and I was a little nervous because I’d never really had Indian food before. It was so good though and tasted like a really good home cooked meal which we were all craving.

After dinner we saw another film called Mandy that starred the one and only Nicholas Cage. It was probably one of the weirdest, wildest films I’ve ever seen. I had no idea what to expect, but I think that made the experience even better!
