Festival Day 12
Today I got up and headed to Cannes to beg for a ticket to the closing ceremony. I knew that people weren't having much luck though, so after an hour I decided to stop and go see a film. We saw Knife + Heart, a French film that was competing for the Palm d'Or. It was wild but entertaining! We went to Steak & Shake (again) to grab some lunch and it was delicious (again)! We almost got gelato too but decided to save our money. Then, to kill some time, we walked through Zara and the Cannes souvenir shop. Later I got in line to watch the red carpet for the closing ceremony. If I couldn't see the actual ceremony in the theater, I might as well try to see the celebrities walk inside! After waiting for an hour or two, I got my spot on the gate. The celebrities started to arrive and I saw so many cool people. I got to see the entire jury (including Cate Blanchett and Kristen Stewart), Adam Driver (again), and I even got a selfie with Benicio del Toro! It was such a fun way ...
